Explorers House

Explorers House by Robert M Poole is a survey of the more than 100 year history of the National Geographic Society. Even though I grew up with my grandmother who still had every issue of National Geographic going back to the 1920′s I didn’t know much at all about the Society or it’s history. Explorers House chronicles the creation of the society in 1888 and soon after the addition of the magazine as a benefit to membership in the society.
